Sioux City, Sioux Falls Set Record Highs

Much of the central Plains and upper Midwest is experiencing unusually hot, windy weather, with Sioux Falls and Sioux City reaching record highs and fire danger elevated by dry conditions and gusts. Sunday is expected to remain warm, especially around Omaha and Sioux Falls, while cooler air and clouds affect areas farther north and west. A broader cooldown is forecast early in the week, with rain arriving Wednesday and Thursday and much cooler conditions by Friday and Saturday.
