Seahawks Add Joe Mixon to Practice Squad
The Seattle Seahawks are adding veteran running back Joe Mixon to their practice squad after a workout, pending completion of his medical evaluation. Seattle is seeking depth after rookie Jadarian Price went on injured reserve and Zach Charbonnet remained sidelined while recovering from a torn ACL; Mixon will initially need to work his way into playing shape and a possible role. Mixon, 30, missed the 2025 season with a foot injury but rushed for 1,016 yards and 11 touchdowns for Houston in 2024, his most recent healthy season. Reports have raised questions about the injury’s severity and his recovery, making his medical status central to the move.
