Eagles Trade Cam Jurgens Amid Injury Concerns

The Eagles will be without running back Saquon Barkley and wide receiver DeVonta Smith against Jacksonville, while Tank Bigsby is also sidelined after core muscle surgery. Will Shipley and newly elevated Dameon Pierce are expected to lead Philadelphia’s depleted backfield; Jaydon Blue and Carson Steele are additional practice-squad options. Philadelphia traded offensive lineman Cam Jurgens to Baltimore for a 2028 second-round pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick, while sending a 2027 seventh-round pick in return; Jurgens had struggled after moving from center to left guard and recently reported concussion symptoms, adding to the team’s offensive-line uncertainty. The Eagles also ruled out Marquise Brown, Marcus Epps and Drew Kendall, while Jalen Hurts is expected to play despite a calf issue and Zack Baun and Dallas Goedert are available. For Jacksonville, cornerback Jaylon Jones is out and safety Eric Murray is doubtful, while Josh Hines-Allen and several other players are cleared to play.
