Jets Beat Browns 17-12 in Rain

The New York Jets beat the Cleveland Browns 17-12 in driving rain, snapping their three-game losing streak and ending Cleveland’s three-game winning streak. Deshaun Watson’s late touchdown pass to rookie Denzel Boston put Cleveland ahead 12-10, but Andre Szmyt missed the extra point and a high punt snap slipped through Corey Bojorquez’s hands. The Jets recovered deep in Browns territory, and Braelon Allen scored the go-ahead touchdown on a 22-yard run with 3:01 remaining. New York sealed the win with a strip-sack of Watson on Cleveland’s final possession and recorded eight sacks; Watson completed 15 of 33 passes for 155 yards. Rookie receiver K.C. Concepcion left early with a head injury after a hit by Minkah Fitzpatrick, and the loss underscored Cleveland’s ongoing offensive and special-teams problems.
