Sylvester Becomes TinCaps' First Woman GM

The Fort Wayne TinCaps named Jennifer Sylvester general manager, making her the first woman to hold the position in Fort Wayne professional baseball and the 16th active female general manager in Minor League Baseball. Sylvester joined the organization as an intern in 2015 and advanced through ticket sales and corporate partnership roles before her appointment. Mike Nutter, who had served as general manager since 2008 and has been with the club for 26 years, will remain team president, overseeing operations and Parkview Field improvements. Sylvester said she hopes to build on the club’s legacy and strengthen its ties to the community.
