Texas Tech Intercepts Four, Beats Colorado 29-7
No. 12 Texas Tech rallied from a 7-3 halftime deficit to beat Colorado 29-7 in Boulder, improving to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in the Big 12. The Red Raiders’ defense turned the game around after halftime, intercepting four passes—including a fourth-quarter pick-six by linebacker John Curry—and converting Colorado turnovers into 19 points. Colorado outgained Texas Tech 375-315 but squandered opportunities with four interceptions, two missed field goals, a failed fake punt and penalties. Texas Tech quarterback Will Hammond threw for 134 yards and connected with Terrance Carter Jr. for the go-ahead touchdown late in the third quarter. Coach Joey McGuire acknowledged the uneven performance, while Colorado coach Deion Sanders said his team expected to win and would work to correct its mistakes.
