Trooper, Firefighters Rescue Three From Minneapolis Fire
A Minnesota state trooper spotted a house fire in Minneapolis’s Seward neighborhood shortly before 1 a.m. Thursday and entered the burning home, helping two residents escape before firefighters arrived. Firefighters rescued a third resident, performed CPR until paramedics arrived, and also rescued a cat. All three residents were hospitalized: two in stable condition for smoke inhalation and one in critical condition; the trooper was evaluated for possible smoke inhalation but did not need hospital care. The fire was brought under control in about two hours, leaving the home uninhabitable, and its cause is under investigation.
