Trump motorcade reportedly hits 98 mph en route to Oklahoma rally
Stormy weather kept planes and helicopters from flying, so President Trump traveled by motorcade from a rally in Denton, Texas, to an event in Durant, Oklahoma, rather than taking Marine One. The roughly 90-mile trip reportedly reached speeds of about 98 mph, and Trump said the presidential limousine, known as “The Beast,” was moving faster than it ever had before. He arrived about two hours late but told the crowd he had refused to cancel the event. The Durant rally supported Oklahoma Republicans, including gubernatorial nominee Mike Mazzei, and Trump cited his past statewide victories as a reason he was determined to attend.
