Trump says he could harm Clinton, Biden, Obama
President Donald Trump said on October 7, 2026, in the Oval Office that he "could've done very bad things" to Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden and Barack Obama. He said he thought it was inappropriate because the office of the presidency must be treated with respect. After noting he was impeached twice, he said that to this moment he can do whatever he wants if he wants, and accused opponents of "very illegal" things without specifying. The remarks came during an event promoting his Trump Accounts program for children, after a reporter asked whether Democrats would impeach him if they win Congress. Asked for what, Trump said they don't know. House Speaker Mike Johnson told Scott Jennings Democrats are "raring to go" and would impeach Trump if they regain the House, saying articles of impeachment have already been filed in this Congress. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries said last month Democrats have not firmly decided. Trump was impeached in 2019 and 2021 and acquitted by the Senate both times. A clip of the remarks circulated on X and drew critical reader comments.
