U.S., Eurozone Bond Yields Fall Ahead of CPI

Government bond yields in the United States and eurozone eased in several reported trading sessions, as lower energy prices reduced inflation concerns and investors sought safer assets amid a pullback in AI-related stocks. Germany’s 10-year yield fell below 3.45% in one session, while U.S. Treasury yields also retreated from recent highs. Investors remained focused on U.S. inflation data for clues to the Federal Reserve’s next moves, while European markets watched energy prices and central-bank signals for the outlook on rates. Despite the declines, yields remained elevated amid resilient economic growth, persistent inflation risks and concerns over France’s public finances. A separate report said a Russia-Ukraine energy-related ceasefire announcement by President Donald Trump helped ease energy-supply concerns and slightly narrow risk premiums on French and Italian debt.
