Wake Forest visits NC State seeking 5-1 start

Wake Forest visits NC State in a key in-state ACC matchup, with the Demon Deacons coming off a 57-3 win over Stanford and carrying a 4-1 record. The Wolfpack have won two straight, but let sizable leads shrink in both games and have struggled to close out opponents after also suffering a late collapse at Vanderbilt. Coach Dave Doeren has emphasized correcting the team’s second-half defensive and tackling issues, while praising his players’ resilience and the teammates who have stepped up amid injuries. NC State’s offense has produced more than 30 points in three consecutive games, and the Wolfpack will need a more complete performance against a Wake Forest team that has emerged as an early ACC contender.
