Water Outages Disrupt Schools Across Two Districts

An electrical problem at Canton’s water treatment plant caused water loss and low pressure, disrupting classes at four schools serving more than 2,000 students. Students from Goodloe and Canton elementary schools were moved to other district buildings with water, while Huey Porter Middle School and Canton High School dismissed students early. The utility said the issue was resolved and water service and pressure were expected to return to normal, allowing students to return to their regular schools Tuesday.
