Northeast expects rain, sharp temperature swings
New England is moving from recent rain toward a brief break in the clouds, though conditions vary by location. Boston and much of Massachusetts should see improving skies Monday, while showers spread across northern New England Tuesday and may bring a cold rain, with a wintry mix possible in the coldest northern areas. The rain could linger into Wednesday in Vermont and Maine before conditions turn drier; Boston may see milder weather Wednesday. Another system could bring showers Friday into Saturday, followed by sharply colder, windier weather and a chance of snow mixing in at higher elevations.
