Zoo Atlanta Sets Nov. 6 Panda Debut

Zoo Atlanta will introduce six-year-old giant pandas Ping Ping and Fu Shuang to the public on Nov. 6, 2026, at the renovated Arthur M. Blank Panda Grove. The pandas arrived from China on Sept. 27 and are completing quarantine as they adjust to their new home. A $6 million renovation funded by the Robert W. Woodruff Foundation added expanded indoor spaces, climbing structures, pools and outdoor water features designed to support the pandas’ wellbeing; the habitat is named in recognition of Arthur M. Blank’s support of the zoo’s panda program. A new conservation research agreement with China brings pandas back to Atlanta after the zoo returned its previous pandas in 2024. The zoo plans a delayed opening on debut day, but has not announced adjusted hours.
