Guardant Health faces $245M patent verdict
A Delaware federal judge upheld a November 2023 verdict that Guardant Health willfully infringed TwinStrand Biosciences and the University of Washington patents for Duplex Sequencing, ordering Guardant to pay more than $245.2 million, including damages, supplemental damages, accrued royalties, and interest, and to continue paying a 6% royalty on 11 products that represented about 90% of revenue through March 2033 with quarterly accounting. The ruling confirms patent validity and imposes ongoing royalty obligations through the patent expiry, with Guardant facing further financial exposure as interest continues to accrue.

About Attitude Era
The Attitude Era was a major era of professional wrestling within the World Wrestling Federation, succeeding the New Generation Era. The Attitude Era was characterized by adult-oriented content, which included increased depicted violence, profanity, and sexual content, as well as disregarding the "good guys versus bad guys" formula in favor of unpredictable and shocking storylines, in a significant shift from the "traditional" and family-friendly output that the WWF had produced up until that point. The Attitude branding officially lasted from November 9, 1997, at Survivor Series 1997, to May 6, 2002, and was succeeded by the Ruthless Aggression Era.
