60 Minutes opens 59th season after correspondent firings and departures
The 60 Minutes 59th season launches amid a sweeping leadership overhaul and months of internal turmoil, including the firing of top producers and several correspondents such as Scott Pelley. Under Bari Weiss and Nick Bilton, the program pursues a new approach while leaning on veteran hosts and a slate of new contributors—Ross Douthat, Norah O'Donnell, Sebastian Junger, Gianna Toboni, Trevor Phillips, and Ariel Levy—to modernize coverage.
