Whitecaps acquire 18-year-old Fotsing from Vancouver FC
The Vancouver Whitecaps signed 18-year-old Canadian midfielder Emrick Fotsing from Vancouver FC on a contract through the 2029-30 season with an option for 2030-31, and he will remain on loan with Vancouver FC for the 2026 CPL campaign before joining the Whitecaps ahead of the 2027 MLS sprint season. The deal, reportedly in the $300,000–$400,000 range and among the largest in Vancouver FC history, highlights a promising youth international who has four goals in 39 CPL appearances and has represented Canada at the U-20 level, despite a hip injury setback earlier this month.
