Rockets Hire Chip Engelland To Boost Shooting
The Houston Rockets hired Chip Engelland, a renowned shooting coach known as “The Shot Doctor,” to join coach Ime Udoka’s staff to boost the team’s perimeter shooting, particularly for Amen Thompson and Alperen Şengün, after a season with weak 3-point shooting. Engelland’s track record with San Antonio and Oklahoma City helped teams improve their shooting and win championships, making this a strategic move as Houston pursues a title.
