Mariners walk off Cubs in 10th
Leo Rivas delivered a walk-off single in the 10th inning to lift the Seattle Mariners to a 6-5 win over the Chicago Cubs, capping a drama-filled opener at T-Mobile Park highlighted by Cal Raleigh’s early three-run homer and Alex Bregman’s later two homers for the Cubs. The result keeps Seattle four games behind Houston in the AL West, while the Cubs extend their NL wild-card lead as Emerson Hancock steadied after a rough first inning and Pete Crow-Armstrong and Bregman provided key moments on both sides.
