About MCM
MCM was a French music video and entertainment TV channel owned by Groupe M6. It was started in 1989 by Europe 1 Communication following the MTV model, as a programming block of the Monegasque TV station TMC. Gradually, MCM noticed its desire to become a full-fledged cable channel, leaving MCM and starting standalone broadcasts in 1991. Over time, MCM launched international feeds and spin-off channels.
