Mariners place Hancock on 15-day IL, shuffle rotation
Seattle Mariners pitcher Emerson Hancock was placed on the 15-day injured list with a left adductor strain, retroactive to Aug. 29, sidelining him for at least 15 days and triggering rotation reshuffles as Bryce Miller shifts between bullpen and rotation. Seattle recalled reliever Nick Davila to fill Hancock’s roster spot while Miller’s future in the rotation remains in question after a rough stretch, with Hancock’s breakout season and career-best numbers underscoring the loss.
