Las Vegas teen surrenders in Santa Monica shooting
A 16-year-old from Las Vegas turned himself in and was taken into custody in connection with a deadly shooting near the Santa Monica Pier that killed 24-year-old Edgar Buitimea after a physical altercation between two groups outside Parking Lot 1 North. The investigation, which points to a juvenile suspect with the case potentially moving from juvenile to adult court, continues as authorities say no further suspects have been identified amid heightened security around the World Cup watch parties.
