About The Storm
The Storm is a painting by French artist Pierre Auguste Cot, completed in 1880. Currently part the Metropolitan Museum of Art's collection in New York City, it was commissioned from the artist in 1880 by Catharine Lorillard Wolfe under the guidance of her cousin John Wolfe, one of Cot's principal patrons.
