Candidates Vie in 2026 Races Across Four States
Indiana’s 2026 elections feature a rematch between Democrat Cinde Wirth and Republican Rep. Jefferson Shreve in the 6th District, and a competitive 5th District race in which Democrat JD Ford is challenging Republican Rep. Victoria Spartz on issues including living costs and AI regulation. Five candidates are also competing for secretary of state after incumbent Diego Morales lost his party’s nomination amid scandals, with independent candidates seeking to challenge the two-party system.
