ShopRite employee in custody after newborn spent seven hours in restroom
A 32-year-old ShopRite employee in White Plains is in custody after her newborn was found abandoned in a store bathroom, with the infant in stable condition and in the care of Westchester County Child Protective Services as investigators, including the DA, review potential charges. The case has prompted reminders of New York's Safe Haven law and involves multiple agencies as authorities continue gathering details.
