Amsterdam Museum Unveils Kusama Retrospective as Tribute After Death
The Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam is staging a comprehensive Kusama retrospective with 300+ works, an immersive infinity room, and around 50 pieces never before shown, serving as a posthumous tribute after her death at 97. The exhibition extends Kusama’s signature polka-dot world to public spaces, wrapping trees and the building facade in dots, and aims to appeal to both new visitors and longtime fans.
