Reusser Retains World Time-Trial Title in Montreal
Marlen Reusser defended her elite women’s time-trial world title at the Montreal World Championships, storming to victory ahead of Zoe Backstedt and Demi Vollering as the Swiss rider cemented her status as a dominant time-trialist. The podium was rounded out by Franziska Koch, with Backstedt’s silver marking a standout elite debut for the 21-year-old, and Reusser celebrating on her 35th birthday amid a consistently rapid, well-paced effort across the 39.2km course.
