Citroën Unveils Low-Cost Electric 2CV Concept
Citroën unveiled an electric 2CV concept at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, reviving the postwar people’s car with retro styling and an emphasis on affordability, practicality and simplicity. The automaker is targeting a production version around 2028 with a starting price of about €15,000 and an intended range of roughly 200 to 300 kilometres. The concept is about 3.7 metres long, is designed to weigh roughly one tonne, and features details including rounded headlights, a fabric roof and a playful cabin. Battery, charging and power specifications have not been announced; production in Europe is possible under proposed EU small-car rules but remains unconfirmed. Citroën also showed an electric 2CV Fourgonnette commercial-vehicle concept, with no production plans confirmed.
