E-Motorcycle Crash Kills Teen in Turlock

Jameson Hendrix, a 14-year-old Turlock High School freshman, died Saturday after the electric motorcycle he was riding collided with a vehicle near Tokay Avenue and Old Vineyard Road. Officers and fire personnel attempted CPR, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said the vehicle’s driver cooperated and drugs or alcohol are not suspected; the Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating. Friends, neighbors and classmates have mourned Hendrix, and the school is offering counseling to students and staff. Police also warned families about risks associated with e-motos and similar high-powered electric vehicles.
