Chattogram Expressway's Nine Ramps Remain Unopened
Road access and traffic are being affected by delayed construction and upcoming restrictions in several cities. In Chattogram, Bangladesh, none of the nine ramps on the Lalkhan Bazar–Patenga Elevated Expressway is open nearly three years after its inauguration, limiting daily use to about 8,500 vehicles; the GEC ramp is reported 90% complete, while five ramps remain under construction. In Baku, rainy conditions have prompted a temporary speed-limit reduction on the Zykh Circle–Airport road. In Jefferson City, Missouri, concrete medians will restrict westbound access to several businesses on Missouri Boulevard starting Oct. 5, with motorists directed to use South Ten Mile Drive. In Saskatoon, repair work on the southeast ramp from Highways 11 and 16 to northbound Circle Drive East begins Oct. 5, bringing a brief closure followed by lane-width restrictions and slower traffic for an estimated two weeks.
