Eight arrested, seven children removed in Richmond
Eight people were arrested in Richmond, Kentucky, in an ongoing child-abuse investigation involving multiple family members living in one home. Seven children, ages 1 to 17, were removed and placed with social services after a joint investigation by Richmond police and child-welfare agencies. The arrests include allegations of criminal abuse and neglect, as well as sexual offenses and human trafficking; authorities say additional charges may follow. A search of the home reportedly found severely unsanitary conditions, including feces and urine, insects, and numerous animals.
