Eni Offers 30% Power, Gas Discount in Italy
Eni’s Plenitude will offer Italian households a 30% discount on electricity and gas supply charges for customers who enroll from Oct. 1 through Oct. 24, with those prices fixed for 24 months. The discount is measured against Plenitude’s main fixed-price offer and applies to the unit charges for energy consumed, not the full bill; network costs, taxes, fixed fees and total charges can still vary. Eni estimates households taking both services could save about €200 a year and says it will absorb at least some recent increases in procurement costs rather than immediately passing them on. The offer is part of Eni’s “Eni for Italy” effort, which also included caps on fuel prices at Enilive stations. Enel has also promoted a two-year fixed-price electricity offer, highlighting intensifying competition among Italian energy suppliers as households face elevated energy costs.
