Food & Wine ranks 27 top US pizzerias

Food & Wine named 27 pizzas among America’s best, highlighting both established pizza institutions and inventive regional styles. Five California spots made the list, including Los Angeles restaurants serving Indian-inspired and Detroit-style pies, while other featured selections included Milly’s Pizza In The Pan’s No Comply and Down North Pizza’s No Betta Love. Seattle’s A.K. Pizza also earned recognition for its Sun Gold tomato pesto pie, praised for its crisp crust and airy interior; the seasonal pizza is not expected back until summer 2027. The national recognition adds to demand for A.K. Pizza, whose limited daily batches typically sell out within minutes.
