Four Wicomico Schools Return to Normal

Four Wicomico County schools—Wicomico High School, Wicomico Middle School, East Salisbury Elementary School and Choices—were placed in “Secure” status as a precaution while authorities responded to an incident in the City of Salisbury. The sheriff’s office said the incident was not directly connected to the schools and there was no indication of an active threat to them. During the status, students and staff remained inside, exterior doors were locked and classes continued as usual. Authorities later lifted the status and said the schools were returning to normal operations; they did not release further details about the incident.
