Loopy Godinez defeated Ketlen Souza by unanimous decision at UFC Vegas 122, with all three judges scoring the strawweight bout 29-28. Souza had success with her striking and defended most of Godinez’s takedown attempts through the first two rounds, while Godinez took damage and was bloodied. Godinez secured a takedown in the final round and controlled Souza from the top, helping her earn the victory. Souza had missed weight by one pound and was therefore ineligible for a performance-based bonus.
