Jackson Hit-and-Run Suspect Arrested
Jackson police recovered a white GMC Yukon believed to be involved in the Sept. 5 hit-and-run that killed Pamela Ellis, who was struck while walking home with groceries near Briarwood Drive and North State Street. Investigators said surveillance video showed the SUV in the area, and it had front-end damage and white Styrofoam lodged in its grille; police credited public tips with helping locate it. One report says a man was arrested and charged with culpable-negligence manslaughter and felony leaving the scene, while other reports described the investigation as ongoing and the vehicle undergoing evidence processing.
