Jets activate Tim Patrick from injured reserve ahead of Browns game

The New York Jets activated wide receiver Tim Patrick from injured reserve on Saturday, October 10, 2026. He carries no injury designation into Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns after practicing fully during the week. A groin injury from the first week of regular-season practices had kept him out since the start of the season. Patrick, 32, signed with the Jets in March; this will be his Jets debut. Last season with Jacksonville he recorded 15 catches for 187 yards and three touchdowns in 16 games and three starts. As corresponding moves the Jets waived wide receiver Jamaal Pritchett and elevated linebacker Jaden Keller from the practice squad. Patrick's role is uncertain behind Garrett Wilson, with Isaiah Williams and Sterling Shepard recently handling the No. 2 and No. 3 receiver spots. Adonai Mitchell is sidelined with a finger injury. Rookie WR Omar Cooper Jr. is also out. CONTESTED: none found. Whether Patrick sees significant snaps Sunday remains unresolved.
