Kidnappers Sentenced in Missouri, Alabama Cases

Amarion Dewayne Jackson, 20, was sentenced to 235 months in federal prison and five years of supervised release for kidnapping a Tuscaloosa man at gunpoint over a third party’s unpaid drug debt. Jackson and co-defendant Korbyn Markeith Williams threatened to kill the victim and demanded at least $5,000, although the victim had no involvement in the drug transaction. Williams received $1,000 in ransom from the victim’s family, and both men were arrested while attempting to collect more; the victim was recovered unharmed. Williams, who also pleaded guilty to receiving ransom money, is scheduled to be sentenced in January 2027.
