In Tyler, Texas, a two-car crash and vehicle fire shut down southbound Loop 323 and eastbound Van Highway; all lanes later reopened. In Columbia, Missouri, a crash involving an overturned SUV blocked a lane on East Sexton Road, which reopened shortly after 7 a.m. In Stafford County, Virginia, a crash on Warrenton Road left all northbound lanes closed near Village Parkway while one southbound lane reopened; officials advised drivers to follow detours and traffic control.

Pedestrians Killed, Woman Injured in US Crashes

Three separate pedestrian deaths were reported: a man helping a driver after a crash in Mobile, Alabama, was struck by a vehicle that fled; a pedestrian in Kentucky was hit by a tractor-trailer leaving a gas station; and a pedestrian in Columbus, Ohio, was struck by two vehicles that also left the scene.
