Missing Nevada Man Found Buried; Two Relatives Dead

Oregon authorities identified human remains found buried Oct. 8 on a rural Josephine County property as Andrew Forrest Odom, 67, of Nevada, who had been missing since traveling to southern Oregon in September. The property was where Odom’s brother, Rick, 73, and nephew, Spencer, 40, were found dead after a standoff on Oct. 6. Investigators said a subject fled into the residence and fired at detectives; Spencer died from a self-inflicted gunshot, and both men had apparent gunshot wounds. The investigation began with a missing-person report to Medford police and was transferred to Oregon State Police after suspicious circumstances emerged. The case remains under investigation.
