Oatly Joins Global Climate-Action Campaign

Oatly is putting messages from the “89 Percent Project” on its cartons to highlight research indicating broad public support for stronger government action on climate change. The campaign, run by climate journalism nonprofit Covering Climate Now, draws on a 2024 study of nearly 130,000 people in 125 countries, which found that 89% favored intensified political action. The cartons have rolled out in Sweden and other European countries, with U.S. availability expected by January. The project has brought together news organizations and other groups to publicize the findings, despite the traditional reluctance of newsrooms to join advocacy efforts.
