Ono Hawaiian BBQ plans first Tucson opening

Ono Hawaiian BBQ is expanding with new locations in Tucson, Arizona, and McKinney, Texas. The Tucson restaurant on East Grant Road is opening with a luau, Hawaiian dancing, giveaways and a raffle, while the McKinney location is the chain’s second in Texas, following its Plano debut. Both locations serve Hawaiian-inspired plate lunches, including barbecue chicken, chicken katsu and kalua pork, with rice and macaroni salad. The company, founded in 2002, is continuing a broader expansion that includes plans for more Texas restaurants.
