Ontario Shootings Injure Two; Suspect Charged, Another Sought

Two separate shootings were reported in Ontario. In Hanover, a 37-year-old man was shot at a residence on 14th Avenue and remained in stable condition; police say he and the accused had been involved in a dispute and knew each other. A 50-year-old man was arrested and charged with attempted murder involving a firearm and two firearm-possession offences, and investigators are seeking witnesses and information about a black van seen leaving the area. In Richmond Hill, a man suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a shooting at a commercial plaza near Bay Thorn Drive and Yonge Street; the suspect fled and had not been identified, though police said there was no ongoing public safety threat.
