A Florida Highway Patrol escort moved a large piece of equipment from the Port of Pensacola through the city, prompting warnings of major traffic delays. Crews had to stop repeatedly to raise utility lines so the load could pass. The affected roads included Bayfront Parkway, Ninth Avenue, Cervantes Street, Davis Highway and Brent Lane, and motorists were urged to avoid the route.
