Pennsylvania CSAM Cases Bring Charges, Sentencing
Pennsylvania authorities reported three separate cases involving child sexual abuse material. Pottstown resident Timothy Paul Hoffman, 59, faces 82 felony charges, including 80 counts related to sexual abuse of children, after investigators said a tip led them to files and sharing activity tied to him; a judge denied bail, calling him a danger to the community. In East Stroudsburg, Edward T. Bommarito, 69, was sentenced after pleading guilty to possessing CSAM, receiving up to two months and 29 days in jail, two years of probation and a 15-year sex-offender registration requirement. David Frank Greenawalt, 37, a convicted sex offender, was arrested at a Chambersburg halfway house and charged with 99 counts of possessing CSAM and one count of criminal use of a communication device. Hoffman and Greenawalt’s charges are allegations, and both defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
