Ex-Connecticut Senator Charged in Bridgeport Ballot Case
Former Connecticut state Sen. Dennis Bradley was arrested and charged with four absentee-ballot offenses stemming from Bridgeport’s August 2026 Democratic primary for probate judge. Prosecutors allege he opened a voter’s completed ballot and urged her to change her vote from incumbent Paul Ganim to his brother, challenger Mark Bradley; the voter later cast a different ballot during early voting. Bradley’s attorney disputes the allegations, saying Bradley was helping the woman open the envelope and describing the case as weak. Bradley was released on a promise to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on Oct. 21; the charges are allegations, not a conviction. The case is separate from Bradley’s earlier campaign-finance case, in which one report says he was convicted of wire fraud.
