Six Arrested in Virginia Massage-Business Probes
Separate police investigations in Virginia uncovered suspected prostitution and human trafficking activity at massage businesses. In Virginia Beach and Portsmouth, three women were arrested after a months-long investigation involving a home and four businesses; police said they seized cash, four vehicles and electronic devices, and the investigation could lead to further arrests or charges. In Manassas City, three people were arrested in connection with alleged prostitution-related crimes at six massage businesses, which authorities shut down, and police said several trafficking victims were found. Authorities in both investigations said the cases involved coordination among local and other law enforcement agencies.
