Twin Cities Marathon Weekend Sets Attendance Record
The 2026 Twin Cities Marathon is underway, with thousands running from downtown Minneapolis to the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul; last year’s champions Will Norris and Jane Bareikis are seeking to defend their titles. The previous marathon weekend set an attendance record, with more than 10,000 marathoners and 42,000 participants in shorter races, while crowds of up to 300,000 cheered along the route. In that edition, Lilian Chebii broke the women’s course record and marathon debutant Victor Shitsama won the men’s race.
