Tesla Austin Cybercab Fleet Grows Eightfold to 300

Tesla says more than 300 Cybercabs are now serving as robotaxis in Austin, an roughly eightfold increase in a month and the company’s first public confirmation of the fleet’s size. Tesla AI executive Ashok Elluswamy has indicated that Dallas is next, though no launch date has been announced; Tesla already operates robotaxi rides there using Model Y vehicles. Texas registration records also show a rapid increase in Cybercabs, while federal regulators continue to scrutinize the program’s safety and operations.
