Texas Fugitive Unit Reports 18,291 Arrests
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton says his office’s Fugitive Apprehension Unit has made 18,291 arrests since its creation, including 68 people on the state’s Top 10 Most Wanted list, and helped recover 186 missing or endangered children. His office also reported that the Child Exploitation Unit made 278 arrests for online solicitation of a minor, resulting in 214 convictions, and 610 arrests for possession of child pornography, alongside 1,410 convictions; many cases remain pending. The Human Trafficking Unit reported 373 arrests and 126 convictions, with additional cases pending. Paxton said the figures reflect his office’s efforts to pursue fugitives and combat child exploitation and human trafficking.
